Hello! My name is Levan Pangani

I am a purpose-driven executive with over a decade of experience at the intersection of economic diplomacy, international business, and sustainability. I currently serve as the Economic and Commercial Officer at the British Embassy in Tbilisi. Previously, I led multi-country consulting operations at GEC Consulting and served as President of oikos International, driving global sustainability initiatives across 50+ chapters. With deep experience in strategy, stakeholder engagement, and economic development, I thrive in mission-oriented environments that bridge policy, business, and innovation. I am also a PhD candidate in Business Administration, focused on sustainable development strategies.

A little bit of my story

My career has been shaped by a simple guiding idea: strong economies and sustainable development must go hand in hand. This purpose has taken me across sectors and countries, connecting economic diplomacy, international business, and sustainability.

Today, I serve as the Economic and Commercial Officer at the British Embassy in Tbilisi, where I help UK companies navigate Georgia’s market, build strategic partnerships, and identify investment opportunities. I lead engagement across key sectors—from energy and technology to healthcare, infrastructure, education, and financial services—while providing economic analysis that supports UK policy and trade decisions.

Before joining the Embassy, I led multi-country operations as Executive Director of GEC Consulting, delivering more than 40 projects with partners like USAID, the World Bank, the EU, and SDC. Prior to this, I played a major role in the global sustainability movement through oikos International. As its President, I guided strategy and governance across 50+ chapters worldwide, building on the foundation I created earlier as the founder and chair of oikos Tbilisi.

Across all these roles, I’ve focused on strategy, stakeholder engagement, and building bridges between policy, business, and innovation. I thrive in mission-driven environments where vision and execution matter equally.

Academically, I am a PhD candidate in Business Administration (ABD), researching sustainable business strategies. I also hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from Tbilisi State University and the University of Lodz. My commitment to sustainability extends to advisory roles as well, including service on the UN PRME International Advisory Committee.

At my core, I’m driven by creating meaningful, systemic impact—and bringing people and ideas together to make it possible.
